The first area designated in the City of Boerne to serve as a community park was established around 1852 and was known as the Common Area. This area was much larger than the remaining part, which is now known as Main Plaza. The area was fenced and utilized by citizens to water horses and livestock while in town.
Main Plaza is in the heart of Boerne and serves as the site of numerous festivals, concerts, car shows, and celebrations. The park features a gazebo, which serves as a location for weddings and concerts.
The park may be reserved by submitting by contacting the Parks and Recreation Department at: phone: 830-248-1635. 1017 Adler Road P.O. Box 1677 Boerne, TX 78006
